G13 FINALIST, B09 THIRD PLACE AT IRVINE WINTER CLASSIC 2012

G13 and B09 represented the club well this past weekend, with great performances at Irvine Winter Classic 2012. G13 got first place in their group with 3 wins in 3 games (for a combined 10 goals scored and 0 against). The Girls eventually lost in the final.
B09 got second place in their group and ended up winning the 3rd place final 1-0. Congratulations to both teams!

SMU's "Friday Fearless Footwork" clinics return to WEBSTER MIDDLE SCHOOL for 2012!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Starting this Friday, January 13, SMU's infamous "Friday Fearless Footwork" clinics MOVE to Webster Middle School (in West LA, on the corner of Sawtelle & National) and will be from 6-7:30PM.

Aimed at boys and girls ages 6-12, this clinic unique in that it is open to ALL PLAYERS - especially NON-SMU players. It is an opportunity for any/all players not yet affiliated with the club to work with our excellent coaching staff on improving their technical and tactical skills on a consistent, weekly basis. Each session is 90 minutes, (6-7:30 PM at Webster Middle School, until further notice) and will incorporate a warm-up, a specific "topic" on technique, and finish up with about a 30 minutes small-sided game. The cost of each session is just $10 per player, payable in cash.

Santa Monica United's Goalie Trainer, Josh Saunders, wins MLS CUP with Los Angeles Galaxy, defeating Houston Dynamo in the final, 1-0. Good job, Josh!!! SMU is proud of you!!!

SMU B15 Blue at Far West Regionals

SMU BU96 Blue end up tied for 3rd after a hard-fought match against CZ Elite in the Far West Regional League fall 2011 campaign. This is the first representation of an SMU team in the very competitive FWRL which covers top teams from all States West of the Rockies. The boys gave their all in two leagues at the same time competing at the highest level in both CSL Premier and FWRL. They proudly kept their own in the most demanding leagues in  the country. Well done boys!!!
